Strawberry Basil Immune Boosting Smoothie
Immune boosting benefits of basil!! This herb is pretty powerful, which is why I love to throw it in my morning green smoothie. Basil contains essential oil compounds that act as anti-microbial and anti-viral agents. It also comes with a whole host of other benefits: anti-inflammatory, cancer prevention, and liver detoxification to name a few. Other nutrient-dense herbs to incorporate are parsley and cilantro. And don’t forget about micro-greens as well!
Strawberry Basil Immune Boosting Smoothie
1.5 cups coconut water
2 large handfuls leafy greens
small handful basil leaves
4 Live Pure green smoothie cubes (or frozen nut milk cubes, or 1/2 cup frozen fruit or veggies of choice)
3-4 large strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon hemp powder (or protein powder of choice).
Blend until smooth!
