Awareness, Satiety, and Sustainability
[Before working with Sara, I could] not finding satiety no matter how much I ate. [Since the biggest changes has been], my awareness about what I am eating and how it will fuel me. Prior to working with Sara, I ate to eat. I now think about what I need to eat to feel better and to use food as my energy source. My schedule of eating has completely shifted and I no longer obsess about the next thing I’m going to eat. Ironically, I don’t think about food as much as I did prior to working with Sara and I don’t eat as much either.
What you should know in working with Sara: You may change your habits significantly but it’s completely self driven. Sara will give you the tools and the knowledge (lots of it) to evaluate what you are eating and whether it serves your body or not. I was amazed at how little I knew about what I was eating and how little attention I paid to how I was feeling because of my diet. Sara will support all of her recommendations with facts which helped me to adopt new practices. For me, she combined my mindfulness practice with knowledge based food choices which ended up being the right approach.
